Meet Blake Barney

2019 Miracle Child, Blake Barney is one of only about 200 known cases of EBF3-HADDS worldwide. Specialists are just beginning to understand the complexities of this newly diagnosed genetic condition.  Symptoms such as speech and developmental delays as well as low muscle tone are common, but long term affects from EBF3-HADDs are still unknown.

Blake is not only miraculous due to the rarity of her condition, but because of the tremendous steps she has taken in her development, literally! She surprised her doctors when she took her first unassisted steps earlier this year. Blake attends the CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Special Needs Clinic, where she receives specialized care.  Blake’s family also utilities the Respite Care Program where they know Blake will receive the specialized care she requires while away from her parents.

Donations to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals helps fund both the Special Needs Clinic and Respite Care Program for the families in our community.
